General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, your explanation is quite good. From the symptoms it seems that you are experiencing IBS, which may be caused by dietary habit.
Other problems to consider include the following:
1. Fructose intolerance
2. Infectious colitis
3. Medication adverse effects
4. Secretory diarrhea

Your decision is right to see a gastroenterologist. The doctor will perform a series of tests including physical examination, ultrasonography (USG), stool examination, etc.

You should avoid the following things because it is likely to cause bloating, such as:
- Eat too fast
- Drinking too fast (especially using a pipette or straw)
- Chew gum
- Sucking hard candy
- Talking while eating
- Drinking soft drinks
- Drinking alcohol
- Smoking

Here are foods to avoid temporarily:
- Packaging foods containing lactose such as bread and cereals.
- Fried and fatty foods.
- Fruits: Apples, pears, bananas, melons
- Vegetables: Coles, broccoli, asparagus, beans, cauliflower, lettuce, green peppers, potatoes, onions, whole grains.
- Soft drinks like beer, soda and cola.
- Sugar and artificial sweeteners.
- Milk and dairy products, especially if you have problems in consuming lactose.

Take care,
Sincerely,
dr. Nurul Falah
