Hello Doctor, This is prashant i have been eating gutkha from past 8-9 yrs and my mouth does not open its like 2 fingers wide but its from past 6 to 7 yrs and previously also my mouth used to open for 2-3 fingers is it sub mucous fibrosis and if it is can u suggest me some test to confirm it and treatment. for ur infor mation right now im in bed from past 2 mnts with d11 d12 and l1 spinal cord fracture.plz guide me.

Every week submucosal intralesional injections or topical application of steroids may help prevent damage. Combination of steroids and topical hyaluronidase shows better long-term results than used alone. In surgery: Split-thickness skin grafting. Just excision of the fibrous bands.
