What Causes Discomfort Above The Hip Bone?

HI, I have what feels like a stitch in my right side, just above hip bone. It started very occasionally but now seems to be present more regularly, for about the last month. If I change position, sometimes it is relieved but not consistently. I do not believe it is food related. I am not taking any medications. this is a new and somewhat unpleasant, something I can tolerate but do not want to ignore if it indicates clearly that something else is going on. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are some of condition that cause hip pain like arthritis, bursitis, osteonecrosis. tendinitis etc. but and appendicitis. I suggest you to take an appointment with your doctor to make a physical examination, and you should do abdominal ultrasound, blood test and MRI of the articulation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
