What Causes Discomfort Around An Inguinal Hernia Repair Site?

I had inguinal hernial repair 3 months ago, everything went great, went back for check up doc said everything was normal. The last 3 evenings I ve been bending over picking up potatoes and bagging them of a number of 44 bushels at around 60 pounds. I have noticed I have a mild discomfort where the hernia was. I hoping it has not come back and just from the repetition lifting. What are your thoughts. Thank you

Thank you for your question.
I understand your concern.

Please avoid lifting heavy weight for at least 3-6 months and let the surgery incision heal. Though scar dehiscence in herons is not common, but it is not a rarity either.

If the pain persists, kindly see your surgeon. You make take some paracetamol for pain relief.

Regards.
