What Causes Discomfort In Chest While Having A Pacemaker In Heart?

I have had a pacemaker for about 18 months I am 21 years old and for the past month or so I have feeling almost like a 'pacing' however it is not where the can is it is in my ribs, right below my left breast to be exact. It is not really painful but more annoying. It happens fairly often, several times a day. It comes and goes without warning and when it happens it only last for a couple of seconds. Is it possible it is my pacemaker somehow shocking me?

Hi,

It may be due to the ectopic heartbeat or other areas of focus may start pacing. It may be due to anxiety or muscle spasm or panic attacks.

So you have to consult your physician/ cardiologist as early as possible they just take an ECG then treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
