What Causes Discomfort In Ear Despite Taking Z-pak For Inner Ear Infection?
Yes. I am a 36 year old female who was diagnosed with an inner ear infection last week. Today I took the last dose of a z-pack prescribed by my doctor. Today I started getting these weird feelings in the inner cartiledge of my ear (especially when I chew) that feels like something in there is moving. What could cause this?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain feeling of something crawling in ear while chewing can be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction or due to fluid accumulation behind ear drum and as the pressure changes occurs there is a feeling of movement or crawling inside the ear drum..
I would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get an otoscopy done to rule out the exact cause of problem.. He can advise you another course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicine, decongestants, steroids and antibiotic and steroid ear drops..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
