What Causes Discomfort In The Throat, Left Arm, Shoulder And Feet?
I am 50 years old, non-smoker (quit 24 years ago), active, history of heart disease in my family (dad), 187 pounds, 5 11 but I continue to have an uncomfortable sensation in my throat that feels like I am inhaling smoke creating a cough. No heaviness or tightness in my chest but I do get some discomfort in my left shoulder and arm from time to time. I also have some tingling in my feet. Does any of this sound like heart disease, lung disease, circulation problems.?

What Causes Discomfort In The Throat, Left Arm, Shoulder And Feet?
Hello, The uncomfortable sensation in your throat is due to any chronic laryngitis (throat infection) or allergy. Should check further with ENT specialist. Acid reflux is also causing the same problems. Should rule out through upper endoscopy. Heart disease to rule out through a complete cardiac check-up (blood enzymes, EKG, echocardiogram). To me, it sounds more like an allergy or acid reflux. However, to make sure should rule out lung, and cardiovascular problems as suggested above. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
