What Causes Dizziness Along With Blurred Vision And Fatigue?
I am on my second day taking trazodone 50 mg and feel dizzy, blirred vision and weak and tired. I do not have any ambition at all. Tried laying down but couldn t rest. Reason dr put me on this is to help me sleep. Mentally I feel confusion. Should I stop taking this? I was taking a really low dose of zanax and the doctor wanted me to stop taking this. I was taking .025 mg. I did not have a problem with the zanax. Please give me your input please. Thank you.
I have read your query and understand your concern. Trazodone is anti-depressant group of medicine which is given for depression or anxiety. It has some sedating property also so it can be given for sleep. In your case you are not tolerating this medicine well so I suggest you consult your psychiatrist again and ask to change it.
If I were your psychiatrist I would have started you on SSRI group of anti-depressants which are widely used and safe and would have given you low dose benzodiazepines like Clonazepam for sleep.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Prashant Gohil
