What Causes Dizziness And Headache?

dizziness n headache
i am expieriencing a pressure type headache in back of head with dizziness when i lay down or get up..not constant but for past week..had same headaches for 2 years n a negative catscan 2yrs ago ..neurologist thinks its tension headache..dizziness vertigo is new

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms may be related to cervical column degeneration (backbone disorder).

I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical exam, some lab blood tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate) and a cervical column X ray study).

A Doppler ultrasound of the cervical arteries would be helpful examine the blood flow to the brain and exclude possible stenosis, which could also be related to the vertigo and dizziness.

If all these tests result normal, I would advise you to consult with an ENT specialist to exclude a possible inner ear disorder, not related to the headaches, which could lead to dizziness and vertigo.
