What Causes Dizziness And Low Blood Pressure Levels?
This has happened twice in the past week. I will feel perfectly normal then all of a sudden I get very dizzy and feel like I am going to pass out both times my blood pressure has dropped and when it happens I lay down and about 15 minutes later I feel better but very sluggish for a few hours
Hello there, Welcome to healthcare magic. Your symptoms seem to point to postural hypotension. This could be due to a number of things like 1 medications like blood pressure pills 2.Hormonal disturbances like Adrenal insufficiency 3.Neurogenic hypotension 4. Heart failure If you are on blood pressure medication you need to check your blood pressure and get thr doses readjusted. You can get a serum electrolytes and random blood sugar done to rule out adrenal insufficiency. If it is neurogenic, it is likely to follow a precipitating factor like stress or pain, etc. I would suggest you get the serum electrolytes and glucose checked first. Treatment depends on the cause so at first we need to figure out what is causing it. Hope this helps.
