What Causes Dizziness And Memory Loss Along With Facial Pain Post Trauma?

I was assaulted by a patient at work. He hit me and caused right condyle and left ra us fractures. I had ORIF. My mouth was shut with arch bars and rubber bands for 3 months. I have a steel plate, six screws and six bolts holding the left jaw in place. Finally, the condyle started healing. I am a diabetic II and it took longer for it to heal. In fact, a still healing. I am experiencing dizziness, extreme memory loss and balance is unsteady. I smell metal and I taste it. I have nerve pain in my face, neck and around my head 24/7. I would like to know if there is a solution to what I am experiencing. This is horrible. Thank you. Wanda

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have dizziness and memory loss along with facial pain post trauma. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like rheumatological disorder depression.The symptoms can also occur due to nerve damage od nerve palsy .An adrenal gland insufficiency and fibromyalgia could also cause similar symptoms. I recommend you to consult with your GP and perform a routine blood test, blood electrolytes, cortisol plasma levels and closely monitor your blood pressure. Rheumatological tests ( like ANA, ANCA, ENA, sedimentation, Rheumatoid factor, etc) are necessary to exclude connective tissue disorders. Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for other reasons , who may prescribe vitamin supplement along with antidepressants .
