What Causes Dizziness And Shortness Of Breath?

i have mild to moderate mitral regurgitation and am now on high blood pressure medicine (losartan). initially, medicine helped with the shortness of breath, but now it is not helping as much. i see my cardiologist again in feb. could the regurgitation be getting worse. i get lightheaded and sometimes feel as if i m going to pass out.

hello,I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
your symptoms of lightheadedness may be due to fluctuation blood pressure, however you need to get your fresh echocardiogram done to assess the progression of mitral regurgitation. Please monitor your blood pressure and if your BP is not below 140/90 you may need to increase dose of losartan in consultation with your doctor.
My best wishes
