Hi, I am normally very healthy but today I had a dizzy spell after standing up, After that I was shaking and hands were like ice. I am a little better but have a horrible headache and my tongue tingles limbs feel shaky and tingly. Blood pressure is high for me at 128/87 normally runs at 104/67 and I don t have a temperature. Went to doc and he said I was getting the flu, but have no symptoms except maybe a headache. My eye was twitching and I have been cold or hot but temp is 76.4

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Standing briefly can cause a short episode of dizziness and tremors due to quick change in position which affects the blood supply of the brain. Normally this gets much better within a few minutes when the patient sits again with the head lower then the heart level and tries to do slower movements.

Being sick or having another contributing factor that having a viral infection (as the doctor suspects you to have flu) might contribute to have it as well.

I would recommend you to take some painkillers for the headache like paracetamol and ibuprofen and also drink plenty of water and other fluids and try to rest as possible and avoid brisk standing or changes in head position.
You should start to feel better in a few days. If there is no improvement or you have any worsening you will need to see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
