What Causes Dizziness When Standing Up Or Looking Down?
I feel dizzy when standing up or when I look down at times. The episodes are starting to happen more frequently through out the day. They last about 2-3 seconds each time but are very scary and uncomfortable. I did my physical and all blood tests came negative for anemia, thyroid, diabetes etc...this started about a week ago and I am worried please help.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having postural hypotension or called orthostatic hypotension. In this condition from lying or sitting position if you stand up suddenly, there might be sudden drop of blood pressure giving rise to dizziness or vertigo feeling. There is no specific medicine for that. Before stand up from sitting position or lying down position, wait for 1-2 minuets and stand up. If problem persisted then go for compressor bandage on legs. Ok and take care.
