What Causes Drowsiness And Tiredness After Taking And Quitting Amitriptyline?
my dad was newly prescribed amitriptyline for headaches - the tablets made him feel extremely tired so he stopped taking them. It has been a week or so since stopping them. He cant describe well how he feels but he is saying he does not feel right and to me he looks somewhat lost and drowsy. He didnt have these effects when on amitriptyline but is there any chance he has hyponatremia?

Hi, too little information has been provided to make a diagnosis. How old is your dad? What are his other medical illnesses besides headache? What medications is he taking? Please see the family doctor for further evaluation. Hope he feels better soon.
