What Causes Dry Constant Cough Along With High Fever And Fatigue?
My 64 year old brother has been sick for two weeks. He started with a dry constant cough and fatigue. In the last week he has developed low grade fever which goes up at night to 101. He is sleeping 12 to 14 hours at night. He had a chest x-ray which was negative and a CBC which was normal. He has been traveling in the US and was around many international students. He also was in northern wisconsin. He has not had a rash.
It can be viral, if lab tests are negative he should notice if shortness of breath occurs then rush to doctor, anti-pyretics, analgesics can be taken. nutrition, rest is recommended, RT PCR for COVID is to be done [he should definitely join online yoga, breathing exercise like art of living], it will fastened recovery and prevents further episodes in future.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
