What Causes Dry Eyes After Eyelid Surgery?

I have dry eyes after eye lid surgery on2/16 dx with CPEO HAD SEVERE PIOTOSIS WHICH WAS CAUSING DIFFICULTY WITH VISION..ABOUT ONE MONT AGO HAD PAIN IN RIGHT EYE DX WITH HERPES TREATED WITH VALTREX BY OPTHOMOLOGIST ????? SEEN BY EYE SURGEON WHO STATED EYE LIDS MAY BE OPENING AT NIGHT. INSTUUCTED NOT TO USE CEILING FAN AND USE EYE LUBRICANT ANT TO WEAR SWIM GOGGLES. AFTER COUPLE OF DAYS DICOMFORT IN EYES RETYRNED TO OPTHMOLIST AND STATED MY GLANDS WERE CLOGGED.. DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DUE AT THIS POINT

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you may need artificial tear films for long term usage multiple times a day and night eye caps may be needed. if symptoms persist then lacrimal gland surgery for tube opening may be required. Avoid ceiling fan and too much screen exposure.
