Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
After testing me with the telescope a bulge on the sinus was seen. I am being monitored for lymphoma on the skin of my leg. My PET SCAN came out clean. A week ago I was told that I have Jsogren syndrome because I have dry eyes, dry mouth and dry nose. I really don t know what is going on. Each doctor tells me something different. Could you please?
Well, your diagnosis regarding Sjogren's Syndrome can be probably correct as the symptoms of dry mouth and dry eyes are classical features of Sjogren's syndrome.. Reduced secretions is a common cause causing dryness.. So get proper investigations done for Sjogren's Syndrome so that it can be confirmed.. As of now you can use artificial tear drops to lubricate the eyes.. For reducing dryness you can chew sugarfree chewing gums, use mouth lubricants like oralgel and use specialised mouthwash like Biotene mouthwash.. Use saline nasal drops to improve dryness in nose..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
