What Causes Dry Mouth And Geographic Tongue?

hi my Wife has been experiencing mouth issues , she seems to have Dry mouth and also slight Geographic tongue.. She also experiences discomfort on her lower left side of the mouth, tongue. She s been to her PRI Care Dr and has changed her Blood pressure med to potentially treat dry mouth and specialized mouth wash , probiotics for potential acid reflux.. she avoid acidity and spicy foods. She tried all of this since Sept 2016 and still experiences discomfort , some days less than others.. She is starting to think it s an infection or something with he saliva glands on her left lower area of the moth perhaps , clogged or infected. Wold an Ear, Nose and throat dr be the right place to go to now for further investigation? TY

Well, dry mouth is the only reason for the other oral symptoms that she is facing and it is probably due to blood pressure medication only as blood pressure medication are commonly seen to cause dry mouth..
For a better examination and diagnosis, you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
The first effort is to relieve dry mouth and for this she can start using oral lubricants like Oralgel and artificial saliva drops..
Chew sugar free chewing gum..
Such lemon drops..
Drink plenty of water and maintain a meticulous oral hygiene..
