Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past month, I ve been experiencing a dull pain in my right side, left side and ovary area. I just turned 50 and have had normal annual physicals. The last one in February only showed slightly elevated liver enzyme and I m about to be rechecked in a couple of week. The pain over the week has increased and it only bothers me when I eat or drink, but the end of the day I m incredibly bloated in my stomach areas.
As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests most likely intestine infection through some sort of bacteria or virus giving enteritis or intestine colicky pain.
Primary management can be done with GI specific antibiotics, antispasmodic medicines, PPI as Omeprazole and later on ultrasound or CT scan to rule out any other underlying disorder.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
General & Family Physician
