This morning I was taking a bath and tried to suck water through my right plugged up nostril and then I felt this terrible pain in my right ear that didn't subside for a good minute and now it's all muted has a plugged up feeling and hurts when I hiccup or do any quick breathing in, how do I fix this?
hello, its because of the negative pressure that resulted upon sucking water from your nostril..since your ears is connected to your nasopharynx (back of your nose) by the eustachian tube where your ears will drain..you can try, exercises to equalize the pressure of your ears..try this: with nose pinched and mouth closed, try to swallow your saliva.. or do straining..you can do that regularly to equalize your middle ear..if it wont work, take some decongestants..
