I woke on Tues with ear pain.cant remember ever having an earache. it feels like it is filled with fluid, no drainage. itches, pain goes away with Tylenol. now my question is what is this earache caused from, more to the point is it contagious? I don't want to get my grand kids sick for Christmas
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear ache which is due to ear infection and foreign body penetration in ear. Need not to worry about it. It is not contagious. I would suggest you to visit Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done and examination with otoscope. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin along with Ibuprofen. You should put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. You should take proper rest. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile and try to avoid pricking it with any sharp object. You should avoid sleeping on this side. You should maintain hygiene of area.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
