General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
As per the history given in your query, you seem to have developed a complication of hyperthryoidism called congestive heart failure.

It is a condition in which your heart can't circulate enough blood to meet your body's needs and this has resulted in swollen feet and legs & ascites (retention of water in the abdominal cavity).

Hyperthyroidism can also cause atrial fibrillation, a dangerous arrhythmia that can lead to strokes.

These complications generally are reversible with appropriate treatment.

So, consult your treating physician further evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Best wishes.
