What Causes Elevated BP Along With Breathing Difficulty?

I have high BP and taking meds, I have been having spiked bp for the past three days, this morning as soon as I woke up my reading was 175/114. I also have trouble breathing if I do too much and slight heaviness in my chest, lite headiness and eyes don t seem to focus as usual. I have an appointment with my doctor in the morning and was wondering if this is the right thing or to go to the ER?

Hi,

If you have an appointment with your doctor this morning, no need to go to the ER. You should discuss with your caring doctor about your recent problems. I'm afraid medications should be changed and other cardiac tests should be run.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
