What Causes Elevated BP And Pain In The Chest?

I was doing great until I noticed my BP was quite high, so my Dr put me on Lisinopril. My chest hurt and could not catch my breath alot with this medication. Went to the Emergency room and they did tests but my HR shot up to 150 and that was directly after a shot of pain meds and muscle relaxer in my I ve just as soon as the nurse put that in there my HR took off.

Dear elevated blood pressure causes increased pressure may cause increased heart rate and decreased diastolic filling time may lead to chest pain. chronic blood pressure may cause left ventricular hypertrophy increased demand for Oxygen lead to chest pain.

coronary artery disease may cause chest pain ..

elevated no maybe due to anxiety or genetic or high salt intake or smoking or sedentary lifestyle etc..

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
