What Causes Elevated BP And Rashes Behind The Neck?

I had a TIA August 16 due to hypertension.....made changes to diet and eat little or no sodium but BP is still running 160s/100s. Also has rash that started in small area back of head but now has spread to cover more area f back of head and down neck since first onset of TIA....what could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have read your question and here is my advice.
In fact the BP you said would need some medication , i would advise you should now see your doctor to start drugs to control BP.
Regarding the rash, that can be best said after seeing that , however if you have started anti platelets like asprin, or clopidogril , that may be the cause as they sometimes do cause rash but that should be said after seeing it .

Hopes i have answered your question. I would be glad to answer any thing else you want to know in this regards.
Kind Regards
Dr Rahamn
