What Causes Elevated BP, Persistent Pain In Lower Back And Black Spots In Stools?

I have had lower right back pain for several months and my bowel movements are normal color but have dark spots throughout. The last week I have been light headed and my blood pressure has been high. I know I should see a Dr. But just wanted an idea of what could be wrong.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The high BP can be of concern with idiopathic cases, renal disorders or others
* The back pain lower part and black spots in stools can be related to occult bleeding in stool via gastric ulcer, malignancy colon or else.

However, a detailed physical examination, lab tests with colonoscopy are primary tools of evaluation in this case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
