What Causes Elevated ESR Levels?

Hi my son 20 months old, he has elevated ESR, it's 17 at first then my pediatrician ask to repeat it in a week, it's more higher it's 40 now, but other blood test are within normal range like the liver panel, electrolytes, so my question is do we have to wait for another blood test? Or do you think that there's something wrong going on?

hai.raised esr can be due to many reasons like presence any acute or chronic infection in the body.
other causes can be due to anaemia,collagen vascular diseases,sepsis,tuberculosis.
if there are no signs and symptoms then it can be repeated after 2 weeks.
