What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure And Heart Rate Along With Headaches?
hello I m not sure what I should do my blood pressure is 144/102 and my pulse is 139 reaching as high as 150. I ve had this headache, cold sweats, heart palpation, nausea, and weakness/shakiness all day.I forgot to take my heart med yesterday and wondering if that is the problem or if I should make a trip to the ER
Elevated BP with Palpitations may be due to several reasons like panic attack, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma or any heart condition. I suggest uou get yourself investigated for the same. You may require investigations like complete blood count, Renal profile, lipid profile, thyroid profile, ECG, Echocardiography any other test to formulate a diagnosis. In the mean while i suggest you maintain a BP diary in which you can note your BP on a dialy basis. You can also start a regular exercise program, cut your salt intake and try meditation and other relaxation techniques to help you with your problems. However do consult a doctor so thatvyou can be suitably investigated and put on a comprehensive management plan.
Hope it helps.
