What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Level While On Amlodipine Besylate?
My doctor prescribed amlodipine besylate 5 mg after an episode of very high blood pressure 180/80. After taking it for a few weeks, my bp in the morning has been around 90/60 and a little higher later in the day. I haven t taken the medication for a couple of weeks and my bp in the morning is still around 95/65. Is the medication designed to lower bp or regulate it? I don t mind the lower bp. I am 71 and had bypass surgery 4 years ago. In good health now. Thanks.
