What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Level While On Naproxen?
I had no blood pressure issues in November but was prescribed naproxen 500mg twice daily. Last week my blood pressure was 150/100 and I was advised to see my family doctor. As nothing else has changed except for the addition of naproxen could that have raised my blood pressure?j

Naproxen belongs to the family of meds called NSAIDs. They are used for pain and to reduce inflammation.
Though these medications can have an effect of blood pressure it is with continued long term use and the effect is mild in most cases.
If you are still using the naproxen since it was first prescribed, it may be having an effect and you should discontinue to see if the blood pressure changes.
If you used it for only a short period of time, it is unlikely that it is playing a role in your current reading.
