Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, I am a 49 year old male weighing approx. 198 lbs. and 5 11 . i measured my blood pressure at walmart this evening and my readings were 127/94. i have been under stress lately and haven t really been eating right or exercising like i should. Are these numbers to worry about? Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
The bottom value of your blood presure measuring is high, and indicates that you should repeat blood pressure measuring, because you are at risk of hypertension disease (first stage), considering the gender, the age and the obesity. You shoud exercise more, eat more heathy diet (grains, fruits, vegetables and food rich in good fats), and avoid fried and fast foods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Suela Gjata, General & Family Physician
