Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since your doctor diagnosed hypertension and prescribed treatment, you should follow his advice. Treating hypertension will reduce your risk for future cardiovascular events including stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, etc. Your current blood pressure is not high enough to be considered abnormal but I suppose your doctor has documented consistently higher blood pressures (or has ordered a 24 hour Holter study to document it) before prescribing Concor. It is a low dosage so the risk for side effects is relatively low. Most patients do well with this drug even on the higher dosages. So in conclusion, I believe that you should follow your doctor's advice. If you have already faced an annoying side effect then you should talk with your doctor. If you'd like to ask about a specific side effect, don't hesitate to get back to me with another question.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
