What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels And Headache?
My blood pressure is running 150/96 on blood pressure medication. I have a headache and my entire right arm is tingling. (like it is asleep) I am 49, female, weigh 150 and work in an office. I have also had episodes of lightheadedness fairly frequently lately - as in 3 times a day.
Hello and thank you for your question. First of all if you are under treatment with antihypertensive medications and you still have high levels of blood pressure that means that you need o raise the dosage of your current medication, or add a new class of antihypertensive tou your treatment,or maybe you nees to change the entire scheme of medical treatment and start a new one. So in order to do his changes you HAVE TO consult your personal cardiologist and talk about that. Also you need some diet modification( low in salt . Also i would reccomend to do an Echo color doppler of tour neck vassels, to rule out anything concerning their damage. Best Regards!
