What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels In A Type 2 Diabetic Patient?
Mother 80 yrs old, type 2 diabetes, HTN. BP elevates to 180 s -200 s over 150 s. Pulse 130 s when she bends over. Has and implanted cardiac monitor that shows nothing significant.. EKG normal. Has had 4 clean cardiac caths. Normal tilt table. No Cancer or kidney issues.
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM I have read and understood your concern High blood pressure and Diabetes are chronic illnesses that go together as they have almost the same risk factors.Her BP values are really high.She will need to see the Doctor or if possible, her Cardiologist to evaluate her Bp medications.In the meantime, i will advise strict rest, good diet control(Diabetic diet and low salt diet).
