What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

I am a 75 year old male, with a pacemaker, for the last 3 weeks I have had a bp of 118/68 with a pulse of 50. The last few days, it has been more erratic such as 132/66 pulse 57, 127/71 pulse 56 and now it is back to 131/67 pulse 50. Should this be a concern ?

Hi!
The blood pressure values you refer are at normal limits. You should not worry about these values. I would like to know about the pacemaker in which frequency it has been set by the cardiologist (rhythmologist)? If the minimum has been set at the frequency 50 then it is okay. Regarding the blood pressure values, they are normal. And I would recommend periodic control of BP values, regular physical activity (minimum 30 minutes walking per day) and a controlled diets (reduce the use of salt, coffee, and eat more fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products). I wish you good health!
Thank you for using Healthcare magic.
Kind regards,
Dr. P. Cerri
