What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?
My blood pressure is 154/100 today at my Rhuematology appointment. Have been feeling really bad for the past few weeks I have SLE. What does this BP mean? My doctor is referring me to a Neurologist but just called and said she did not feel comfortable waiting for me to see the Neurologist so she ordered a head Ct for tomorrow. What do you think she is looking for?

Your stress and concern for the past two weeks itself may lead to high blood pressure (if you are not hypertensive in past). I suggest you to take tablet Nifedipine OD (once daily after food) for 3 days and check you BP. If symptoms persist I suggest you to consult the physician.
