What Causes Elevated Blood Sugar Levels After Receiving A Cortisone Shot?

I have type 2 diabetes and am taking 100 mg. of Invocana in the am. and 1000 mg of Metformin am and pm. Yesterday I had a cortisone injection and my blood sugar was 246 at 7am, 296 at 4 pm and 323 at 7pm after eating a salad at 5:30. I am concerned. Is it something to worry about at this moment? Or should I wait till morning and see if it has decreased?

@ Cortisone ( known as glucocorticoid ) shot is known to elevate blood
sugar via effect on glucose metabolism .
It makes hard for body cells to use insulin so
insulin governed control of blood sugar is disturbed
@ Wait for 24 - 48 hrs till its effect wear off .
