my lab values for Alkaline phosphatase was 95, AST 29, ALT 28, Total cholesterol 220. 13 days later i had a disability insurance paramedical exam. My blood specimen tubes were not labeled when the nurse left from drawing my blood (fasting) & using their lab. the insurance co denied coverage due to ALK Phos at 190, AST 176, ALT 166 & GGT 153. Total Cholesterol 233. This is seems CRAZY to me! what do you think?? tena
Hi Tena! welcome to HCM! In such type of problems I suggest repeat testing with fresh sample.Reports can be correct also because its always possible to have hepatitis within 13 days as your reports suggest inflammation in liver. So go for a repeat test.Take care!
