What Causes Elevation In Resting Heart Rate Levels?

my resting Heart rate was at low 70's but I tore my calf muscle 3 weeks ago.....today my resting HR is at 100 to 85 BPM. Is that normal? I used to jog non stop for a 1/2 and hr and had a just stopped bench rest heart rate at low 60's. When I do not exercise my resting heart rate is up. I am 45 and have pre hypertension. I take many vitamins and eat prett healthy and exercise regularly for the past 3 years with much emphasis in cardio since I have allergies and asthma.

HI
Well come to HCM
If you do not have any symptoms then this is nothing to worry more over if you are going to read your own pulse then due to over consciousness this would come little more, in my opinion stop doing this, hope this information helps.
