What Causes Enlarged Papillae After Treated Burning Sensation In Mouth?

I have enlarged papillae. Feels as though somethings stuck everytime I swallow. I have had burning tongue for 2 weeks now, but that seems to have improved after using Vit B complex and mouthwash. Last night I gurgled with the mouthwash. Could that have enlarged the papillae?

Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain enlarged papillae can occur due to inflammation in the mouth that has caused inflammation and burning sensation and although it has improves but it may take a comparatively longer time for the papillae to regress in size..
Inflammation can also occur in case if you have gargled with a concentrated solution of mouthwash and it has caused chemical burning leading to inflammation..
Nothing to worry, gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia, do warm saline gargles, take Ibuprofen for reducing inflammation and suck ice..
Drink plenty of water and avoid spicy food.
For gargle mix half water and half mouthwash..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
