Hello,

You have not mentioned what antihypertensive you have been prescribed apart from clonodine.Generally an antihypertensive is chosen on the basis of the age, side effect profile and other comorbid conditions.

Generally after changing a blood pressure medication it takes time for the body to adjust to the new medication and it generally settles in a few days.

But if your blood pressure keeps on showing drastic fluctuations, you have to discuss this with your physician and ask for readjustment of your dose or medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
