What Causes Erythema Chronicum Migrans?

have nasty almst bruised looking tennis ball rash with bumps not itchy re but very scary. saw dr put me on doxycycline for 10 days saw husands dermatologist she called it erythema chronicum migrans and mentioned 16 days of same medication and tick bite suggest test lyme iggigm titer wireflex.
