What Causes Excess Farting?

I ve been sick for the past week now, for two days i were throwing up before I got lots of pain in my left ear and my throat got sore and my nose stuffed. I stopped throwing up 3 days ago, but today I ve felt lots of pain in my stomach and I ve kept farting all day, not those small ones, but big ones that really makes sound a while and before I knew it so had i thrown up, what are the causes for farting so much? I ve been sucking a lot on some herb drops the past day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many medical conditions that can cause excessive farting.

The most common cause is a gastrointestinal infection.

I recommend:
To avoid foods that cause bloating
Take over-the-counter digestive aids
Eat slowly and small meals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
