What Causes Excess Vaginal Pain During Intercourse After Having Depo Shot?
I just took my second drop shot a month ago and ever since than my period became crazy I had leftover for 4 weeks than on 3rd week my period came. Than went away last week. But than having spotting after words.. but 2 days ago when I m having intercourse with my husband as soon as he put it in I had a sharp painful knife like pain inside my vaganal. Why is it I have sex with my husband I get a very painful inside me every time he push it in harder?
Hello, It is normal for your periods to be very irregular for up to six months after starting depo provera. At some point you just stop having periods. The change in hormones can result in vaginal dryness and if this is the case try using extra lubricant. If it is not a lubrication problem causing the pain then see your doctor for a pelvic exam to determine the cause. If it is not from dryness then it is probably not being caused by the depo and you need to determine the cause before you can treat it. Regards
