Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My sleep pattern is awful. I ve become a vampire - sleep in the day, awake at night. My dr. prescribed Trazadone, but it only lets me sleep for 2-3 hours. I don t even take it on a steady basis. Maybe I should. I am 73 years old and in great health. I am at my wits end about this problem. I have not purchased any over the counter supplement for this. Strangely, when I stay at someone else s house, I don t have too much trouble sleeping. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Kindly do polysomnography study after physician consultation to check your sleep pattern. You are feeling excessive sleepiness during day due to less sleep at night. along with that try to change your sleep pattern by engaging yourself in activities during day time. Do regular exercises for 30 minutes and take light food at night and try out some meditation techniques.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
