Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Excessive Refluxed Bile With Weight Loss, Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea?
Why would a person have excess bile in their stomach. Weight loss of 100 lbs in 4 months, aching instestines, diarrhea after eating. Cannot even eat . Tingling and numbness down the arms and hands. One local doctor diagnosed this person with failure to adjust to life.
I am sorry to hear that this patient is having such serious health problems. Bile reflux is a condition in which the liquid produced by bile (in the liver) is turning back to the stomach, and something up to esophagus causing serious GERD. Causes of bile reflux is related to complications of abdominal surgeries, cholecystectomy, and peptic ulcers. That requires immediate medical attention. The treatment is often difficult, not only with diet, but sometimes, it might require surgical intervention.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
