What Causes Excessive Vaginal Bleeding Half Way Through Intercourse?

Hi, I had (protected) sex for the first time in almost 3 years- 3 days ago. Not long into intercourse I started heavily bleeding. I figured my hymen broke and/or I may have a vaginal tear, since although I am not a virgin- it had been a long time between intercourse & he is much larger than my last partner. However, I am still bleeding and starting to get concerned. It was very scary the first time & started to go away yesterday, however is back to a regular amount today. It is causing me a lot of discomfort & I m worried something may be wrong.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, here the bleeding condition need to be differentiated with menses and it has to be menses only and may not be tear I would advise you to see the gynecologist because without clinical examination it can not be said anything for sure, clinical examination is the only option to ruled out, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
