What Causes Excessive Weight Gain While On Celebrex?
I ve been on Celebrex for about 3 years and have gained about 30 pounds! I ve just discovered there may be a connection. I m tired all the time, then can t sleep and no matter how much I exercise or how careful I am with my diet, I just keep gaining weight. Could it be the Celebrex?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given. Clebex a cox - 2 inhibitor NSAID, does cause fairly sudden weight gain in about 2 % of patients. It may also cause swelling of feet and legs. The weight reduction can be reduced with exercise and diet control. But if that has not helped as stated, then discontinuing the drug may be needed. Thanks
