What Causes Excessive Weight Gain?

Hi,I'm a 22 year old and female. Over the past 10 months I've been experiencing a sudden weight gain. I used to weigh 65 kg, and I'm 1.71 cm tall, and that's been my average weight for the past 9 years. Then, last September I've started to gain weight, and although I lost 5 kg around Christmas I've gained it all back and currently weigh 85 kg. There's no dietary reasons for it - I don't eat either fatty or sweet food, and on average I never have more than 1 or 2 meals (normal portions) in a day. I'm worried than my problem might be related to pcos, which I was diagnosed with about two years ago, and furthermore that diabetes might be in the cards. I've checked out diets that might be helpful to my condition, and as such I've stopped eating bread, pasta, rice and anything that might contain sugar or too much fat - however I keep gaining weight and I'm not sure what to do. As for exercise I don't own a car, so I walk everywhere, but I don't go to the gym, since I don't have either the money or the time. I don't know what to do, at the minute not eating at all seems the only option. I don't even fit into any of my clothes. Also - I don't know if it's relevant - but during the past few months I've had an eczema like rash on my arms and upper back. Also my gp said I don't have hyperthyroidism. My doctor won't see me since the clinic is all booked up for the next month, and I can't afford a private consultation, so please help! Thanks

hello madam..
weight gain should be due to hypothyroidism/PCOS
eczema on neck TOO..
the only treatment possible is cure of the disease..
don't worry much about the weight..
do not completely avoid food.that will cause an increase in weight..try to take small meals (with good amount of fibre and protein) over four/five times a day..
try to take meal replacement drinks/sufficient amounts of protein in your diet which is very important for weight loss..
brisk walking should be continuous and for at least forty min..

hope my answer helps you
if you have any more queries i would be happy to answer..
I find this answer helpful
